Camp out at Gantz Park this weekend

Parents and scouts:

I almost forgot to follow up on this item – but we have been asked again this year to help watch the flowers at Gantz park on Friday night.    It will be where we camp out at the park on Friday and make sure no one messes with the flowers.

If you can help please let me know.

Dylan Love Eagle COH

Return tents by Tuesday and Canada

Parents and Scouts:

Just a reminder that the tents and tarps we used this weekend [and the ones that are still out from last month!] NEED to be back THIS Tuesday!  I need to have them dried and cleaned in preparation for going to Canada.  Please use today and tomorrow to make this happen. 

As for those wanting to go to Canada, Please have your info in to the troop by this coming Tuesday so we can get roster and food counts started.  If you have to wait to pay until the May 5th meeting that is ok; still let me know you have intentions of going. 

AND – don’t forget  - Summer camp fees are also due this Tuesday for early bird. I have 30 spots paid for early sign up.  after that it is an extra $25.00.

Help needed this weekend

Parents and Scouts:

I had asked the other night at our meeting for some help on a service project this weekend at the church. If you are not going on the camp out here is an opportunity for you to get an hour of Service:

Here is what I need:

Adult – 2

Scouts – 6

Plan to be at the church at 5:00-5:30 PM on Friday and 9:00-9:30 PM on Saturday to put up and then take down tables in the fellowship center for a group that is having an event all day on Saturday.

Mulch Plans!!!

Dear Parents & Scouts:

We have had several parents and scouts sign up for helping on the Mulch Fundraiser for this weekend.  That is awesome! –THANKS!

If you have not signed up or let me know your able to help – please do.  I need that for our lunch count numbers.  Check below to see if you are on the list [and for correct times]

Here is how our sign up is so far...

Here is last minute details and things to remember:

1. Don’t forget to sign IN and OUT on the time sheet at the mulch loading area – If you can’t find it – ASK!

2. Wear OLD clothes and shoes that you don’t care if they get black mulch dirt on them.  It is hard to get out.

3. Bring gloves – Hat – Sunscreen and a water bottle. [and of course a GRRR face to work!]

4. We will need rakes and brooms for working the mulch – make sure your name is on the tools you bring.

5. We will have a lunch for all – please bring a side to share.  We will have hot dogs, hamburgers and drinks provided.

6. The location for meeting us for Mulch is at the Creekside Subdivision [at the corner of Autumn Wind and Snowy Creek Drive]-see this map

7. We will meet on Friday evening from 5 PM until 8:00 PM ish, and then restart on Saturday Morning at 8:30 AM.

GRRRRR!!!! MULCH!

Parents and Scouts: [Venture Crew Too!]

BE READY – PUT ON YOUR MULCH GRRRRR FACE! IT IS CLOSE TO OUR MULCH FUNDRAISER DAY AND WE ARE NEEDING EVERYBODY FOR THIS EVENT!

We sold 4700 bags of mulch that will be delivered and of that, we will spread over 3000 bags! UGH!.  Plan on both the  4/17 and 4/18 dates - Plan to spend as much time as you can with us during this event.

We will have lunch on the Saturday and would like all to bring a side or dessert to share. We will cook hot dogs and hamburgers and have drinks. [thanks to Jeff Colborn and crew for organizing this part of the day!]

We will also need some pick-up trucks – about 10 would be great; and drivers [trailers if you have them]. If you can assist in this manner please send me a note so I can get that all organized. I will have sign-up sheets at our meeting tomorrow night.

This event is also open for Venture Crew members [and parents] So pass this on to your crew members.

The way we earn money is this; all profits are divided by the total youth hours to get a dollar per hour figure that will be earned by all youth based on the number of hours that they work. I will have a sign up sheet for all next week at our meeting. please make sure you get on the list and if your out next week then also let me know of your plans to help.

PLC, Mulch, and Canada

Parents and Scouts:

Just a reminder that the PLC will be meeting this Sunday at 5 PM – at the church.  Please come PREPARED – with ideas for meeting skill instruction and inter-patrol game ideas.  Web master – and scribes should also attend.  Troop committee meeting is at 6 PM for all leaders and adult wishing to attend.

AND – for all of you  – don’t forget to mark your calendars for next weekend – MULCH!  Friday night and Saturday....

We have 4700 bags to deliver.  I will need parents help – especially we will need trucks and if possible a trailer or two.  If you can help with either of these item please let me know via email.  I will have sign up sheet at our meeting on Tuesday  night to get a good feel for those that are going to attend.  If you can’t be at this meeting please let me know before hand if you are going to be able to help next weekend.  We will also ask each to bring a side dish for our lunch next Saturday.  we will need help with preparing our lunch – Hotdogs and hamburgers.  If you can assist with lunch please let me know that as well. 

Moving on to our May trip to Canada – I will need to get a preliminary idea of those wanting to go.  Please send me a note of your intentions – scouts or parents - and if you can drive [how many seat belts as well]  This should get to me before our Tuesday meeting.  Cost for this trip is $65.00.

No Meeting tomorrow (4/7)

Just a reminder that we are not having our Boy Scout Meeting tomorrow night since SWCS is still on spring break.  We will be back at it on the 14th.

Remember – Mulch delivery days are coming up.  Be sure to mark your calendars for April 17th and 18th for helping with the Troop!
