All scouts and parents, you are invited to come see the Eagle Scout Court of Honor.  This is really important ceremony as well celebrate their success in the Scouting program.  When you attend these ceremonies, it will help you think and make plans for your own Eagle Scout Court of Honor in the future.  Plan to arrive before 2 pm if you are just coming for the ceremony and plan to wear the full uniform (Class A) for this event.  This includes the merit badge sash!

Hog Roast and Arts in the Alley Parade - Saturday, September 14th:
We will be sharing details about the Hog Roast very soon.  Many thanks to Christa Ewing and Darryl Betz for volunteering to lead parts of the Tag Sale and Hog Roast.  I would recommend spending some time gathering items at your house that you would like to bring for sale at the Tag Sale.  There will be a lot of work for this even so please clear your calendar for the event and we will need scout and adults for this event.  It is a great event so please plan to attend and work to earn money for your scout account.  Plan to also march in the parade that day

Torrent falls Trip

Some of our troop members just returned from Campton, KY after a superb time climbing with the Southeast Mountain Guides.  Though only few made it through all the climbing sections, everyone had fun.  We camped two nights at Land of Arches campground and also went to Natural Bridge State Park and hiked a little there.

Scout Meeting tonight, Torrent Falls trip, Eagle Scout COH and Put-in-Bay trip...

Good morning!

Scout Meeting 8/6:
Our troop purchased some items from the World Jamboree and was informed last night that the only time they will allow pick up of the items would be today.  After a brief meeting that I will have for school this morning, I will go to pick up the items.  That means that I will not be back by tonight for the scout meeting.  Todd and Roland will cover any details that are needed.

Torrent Falls Trip:
If you want to go, you need to turn in your permission forms tonight at the beginning of the meeting.  I will send out a follow up tomorrow about those in attendance.  There will need to be some discussion tonight about the meals for this weekend.

Eagle Scout Court of Honor 8/18 @ 2pm:
Connor and Owen will have their Eagle Scout Court of Honor on August 18.  This is a huge honor, so I am requesting your presence at the Court of Honor.  This will be the second Eagle Scout Court of Honor this year and they will be the second and third Eagle Scout from our troop this year to receive the award at a Court of Honor.  I need the following to help run the Court of Honor.  Please let Todd know tonight if you can do one of the following:
Master of Ceremonies:
Scout candle:
Tenderfoot candle:
Second Class candle:
First Class candle:
Star candle:
Life candle:

Connor, Owen and I will meet later this week to finish the planning for the Court of Honor.  If there is a need, I will let you know.

Put-in-Bay and Torrent Falls trip:
The Troop Committee has approved a $30 per scout support for the trip in both August and September.  This was approved on Sunday night at the Committee Meeting.  The cost of the Torrent Falls trip will be $50 and the cost of the Put-in-Bay trip will be $60.

Below are the PLC Meeting plans for this week and next week.
Tonight in the Patrol Meetings, the menu for this weekend and the planning for skill instruction next week needs to occur.  I am starting to meet with the PLC right after the meeting is over on Tuesday nights to be sure that we are ready to go for the next meeting with the skill instruction.  We will also start to work in some advancement time for those scout that need some basic skills.
