tomorrow is Fall Court of Honor and bring your popcorn sales!

Troop:

Please remember that tomorrow night is our Fall Court of Honor.  We will recognize all advancement and awards earned since our last Court of Honor in June.  Please be present in Class A uniform [and your Merit Badge Sash as well].  Families are encouraged to stay to see this ceremony.

And – Don’t forget about our Popcorn Sale Prize for the night.  The scout that can show the most “Trail Mix Sales” wins!  Bring your order form to prove your sales.  See Mr. Asendorf for getting your sales confirmed.

Look forward to seeing you all tomorrow night!

Use Kroger Plus Card for your family food purchases. A percent of your spending at Kroger on the Kroger Plus card will go into the Boy’s Scout Account.  The Scout Account can be used to pay for Summer Camp fees, Monthly camp-out fees, Troop Dues, and Troop related expenses that are approved by the Scoutmaster. Our September campout will be to Morrow Ohio to take a Bike Hike and if enough interest and adult leaders are able to participate we will have a Canoe trip down the Little Miami.  The campout will be September 22-23. After Labor Day we will be reverting back to the Class A uniforms for our BSA meetings – starting this coming Tuesday, 9/5.  You should make every effort to come to the meeting in the correct attire.  [You don’t play football in your BSA Uniform, so don’t wear your Football uniform to the BSA meeting – Plan accordingly!]

7. Program Plan for 2018-2019

The Tag Sale will be on the 15th of September.  It will coincide with the Arts in the Alley weekend activity [Hog Roast Too!].  Plan to bring items for the sale on Friday evening, September 14th for setting up the event. Remember that 75% of what you sell at this event will go to your son’s scout account. These items should already be marked and priced.  We will need both parents and scouts to work this event.  If you can sign up please let Kirk Bohanan know.

10. Walking in the Art in the Alley Parade - Sept. 15th
We have been asked to assist in carrying a large American Flag in the Arts in the Alley Parade along with other scouts form other Troops.  I will need as many scouts as possible to do this activity.  Others will be needed to also walk and advertise the Hog Roast and Tag Sale. That will be done with the Pack 136 group.

11. Become a Den Chief for the Cub Pack
You can become a Den Chief – You must be First Class Rank and go through a training course. This course will be given in September.  This will count as a position of Leadership Responsibility, which is needed for the Ranks from Star to Eagle.  See Kirk for details.

12. BSA Health Forms
HEALTH FORMS from summer camp are now on file for the next 9 months.   If you did not go to summer camp you should have at least Part A and Part B of the New Health Form submitted to the troop.  [Part C is the visit to the Doctor’s office]. This is important information that we take on our outdoor outings in case of an emergency.  Please help us by getting this information into the Troop. As any medications change please update Part A of your son’s form.

13. POPCORN SALE STARTS THIS MONTH - SELL-SELL SELL!
We will have our Popcorn Kick off on September 15th at the Troop meeting.  Please plan to be there to get all of the information on product and prize incentives.  The sale will begin 17th of September.  Product pick-up will be the weekend of September 16th at the church.  More details on this at the popcorn kickoff on the 11th.
