Day of Giving:
You might have seen some advertisements about the Day of Giving to support the Scouting movement. We collect dues each month and do not collect a recharter fee from the Scouts. We may this for you using your dues. The Day of Giving is separate. Please consider a donation to support the Scouting movement and the many benefits that other will be able to enjoy as a result of your gift. Here is the website: https://skcscouts.
We only had two people give so far from our Pack or Troop. The link is still active in case you forgot it ended at the end of the month. You can always do a pledge and follow up with a check later as well.

February Campout:
Here is the campout form for February. The signup for this campout is due on February 8th:
Summer Camp:
Note: They sent a response last Friday stating they extended it to February 15th. I guess I was not the only one who complained that they were only giving us two weeks and one of those weeks was when a lot of Troop/Crews might not be meeting because of MLK weekend. Please sign up by February 15th. I will make a payment for our Scouts using the $50 deposit. This will ensure that you can sign up for merit badges in March or April. No date has been given yet.
Can you believe we are already starting to plan for summer camp? Camp Ransburg sent me an email asking for us to put a $50 per person deposit down for summer camp. They would like for this to be done during the next week. I know this is quick, but I am passing this along to you now knowing that you could still be added later. They are trying to determine campsites based on deposits and starting to order materials they need for summer camp. I will put a $50 deposit for your son to attend summer camp.
We will have two weeks of summer camp with the first at Camp Ransburg, June 25-July 2 and another week July 10-16 at Camp Falling Rock. The focus would be for your Scout to attend Camp Ransburg, but I know that some like to earn more advancement and so we have scheduled another week at Camp Falling Rock so they can maximize their time at camp or if there is a conflict with the first week of camp.

Here is the signup genius for Camp Falling Rock. I am not sure on the details yet, but it looks like the cost of the camp will be $300 and due by March 22nd.
Maple Fest:
Our next campout is March 4-6. I will be sending out the permission for in the next email, but wanted to be sure you had this on your calendar. The due date for this permission will be February 22. That is only three weeks away!
